Took the Lexus IS250 for a test drive... Man what a sweet car! Prefer it over the BMW I used to have (car was written off in 2004).

I probably have to work next weekend... on my birthday...

lol I don't even know what I'm gonna be doing 4 my b-day, never made plans. I never really do anything large; usually buds come over 2 my place 4 a braai & we head off 2 the club afterwards.

I don't really mind working weekends, im currently at work right now. Everything is quieter and less stuff to do in the weekends.

I finaly took the time to beat Assassin's Creed

I managed to get over the repetitiveness and actually enjoyed the game after all. The storyline is just wicked.

working on you bday is a mixed blessing....sometimes offices throw you a party (and no one forces you to do things like work for that day

)....if you are a girl like me sometimes they give you things like balloons and cards (ok, maybe guys like that stuff too no idea).....though the repeatedly having to tell people how old you are gets old fast.
I usually hide on my bday as things usually go poorly (there was an earthquake in illinois on my 21st bday....power outages on my 30th etc)....and I am usually not a happy camper to be around, so I try to take the day off if I am working...
however,
it was horrible as a kid---having a summer birthday....everyone was on vacation so birthday parties were a family only affair

(I had 2 parties as a kid--only 2----first one age 4 the girl across the street threw up in our pool, yep that was a fun party, the next year we were on vacation in hawaii during my bday)...so as an adult I was kinda unhappy about the whole party idea-

If my schedule keeps up the way its looking I'll be starting 4 straight 12 hour days on my B-day, but then I'm rewarded with 7 days off. =)

Yeah I used to take the day off on my b-day for the past few years, (even bunked school on those days bwhahaha!) however I've started at a new company on the 1st of July... lol imagine 3wks in2 your new job & askin if you can get the friday off because it's your birthday...

Nope, we don't get to party during the day... the type of industry I'm in don't have time for it

But I'm sure the regional manager & another colleague or 2 will take me out 4 a few bourbons after work

Ok, so this lamp in my living room (as you may see in the ask a dumb question thread) has been wierd lately. It randomly turns off for no apparent reason, and usually comes back on once someone taps it. Last night it turned off, so I got up to go tap it, and just before I got there, it turns back on. The EXACT SECOND that I sat down, it turns back off, just my luck. I ended up just tapping it and it stayed on.

got back from my mom-in-laws party from my hubby....dinner for me was

carrots and green beans (and I dont like green beans)....oh boy....this diet really suuucks big time....I certainly hope it solves my digestinal problems....or I will be one very unhappy person at having missed some good food (I made lasagna from scratch ---mom-in-laws family recipe, it smelled good---)

circus....our lights are a little more intelligent....they like to blink on and off---like they are doing morse code or something (we like to think they are signaling the aliens).
